Hydromat Equips Egypt Vision 2030 Water Project
Hydromat Supports Egypt Vision 2030 Water Project with Advanced Irrigation Infrastructure
On October 24, 2025, Hydromat from Ivanec successfully delivered cutting-edge electro-hydraulic equipment for a landmark Egypt Vision 2030 water project. This major Egyptian national irrigation initiative represents a significant milestone in the country’s sustainable development goals and water resource management strategy.
Project Overview and Scope
The Egypt Vision 2030 water project is designed to deliver an impressive 10 million cubic meters of water daily for irrigation purposes. The system consists of two major components: 5 million m³ per day dedicated to irrigating 400,000 feddans, and an additional 5 million m³ per day allocated for 300,000 feddans. Located in the Mostakbal Misr (1) area, west of the ring road and west of Sheikh Zayed City, this infrastructure will irrigate a total of 229,028 feddans (1 feddan equals 4,200 m²).
Strategic Importance for Egypt’s Future
This initiative directly supports Egypt’s national plan for developing new urban communities and expanding agricultural areas. The project aligns perfectly with Egypt’s Vision 2030 framework for integrated and sustainable development, demonstrating the country’s commitment to efficient water resource management.
The project implements presidential directives issued to the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, focusing on optimizing water resource utilization throughout the Western Delta region. This strategic approach ensures maximum efficiency in water distribution while supporting agricultural expansion.
Broader Development Goals
The Egypt Vision 2030 water project contributes to an even more ambitious objective: the reclamation and cultivation of 1 million hectares of land. This massive undertaking spans areas north and south of the Dabaa axis and throughout the Mostakbal Misr (New Delta) region, transforming previously unusable land into productive agricultural zones.
This collaboration between Hydromat and Egyptian authorities showcases how innovative water management technology can address critical infrastructure needs while supporting long-term sustainability goals. The project serves as a model for future large-scale irrigation initiatives across the region.
